On a 1999 Olds Intrigue, the signal lights work somewhat normal. The problem I have is the front driver's side bulb blinks bright and the passenger side bulb blinks dim. I cleaned the ground wires on the front on both sides and also the ground just off the negative cable. Problem is still the same. I blame the turn signal switch but after reading a similar problem another Olds owner had regarding the white wire. I may have the same problem as him. Also I noticed the brighter light in the bulb was on the lower filament and on the dimmer side the upper filament in the bulb was lit. Crossover problem?

It sounds like a ground problem. Check BODY ground straps for rust, damage, or being disconnected. As far as the filament, that shounds normal. I realize you cleaned the battery terminal, but the ground for the body is a seperate wire. Check the body grounds.
