If it starts for a couple seconds when you prime the throttle body with gas, then the fuel pump isn't doing its job or there is no power to the injectors. I need you to check fuel pump pressure. If you visit our homepage under the repair and service section, there is a video and directions that show you how to do it. Check that and let me know what you find.

If the pressure is good, chances are the injectors aren't getting power. You need to get what is called a noid light. Most parts stores will lend them or they can be purchased. They are not expensive.

Disconnect one injector at a time and see if there is power pulsing to the injector. If there isn't you need to trace the wiring back to the PCM to see where power is lost. It could be a broken wire, a bad connection, a bad PCM, even a cam sensor can cause this issue.

Let me know what you find. Also, let me know if the check engine light was on.

Hello,

It sounds like the fuel pump is going out which will give good pressure sometimes and other times it will just quit. Here is a guide that will show you what you are in for when changing the pump.

Please let us know what you find.

Cheers, Ken
