my transmission hesitates shifting into drive and out of 1st, it reverses just fine but when put in drive you have to wait until it catches then give it gas and start going then it throws high rpms twice before shifting out of first

check fluid level then have a trans guy give an opinion, sounds like it's shot though if okay-have it further diagnose by getting the throttle and governor pressures checked by a transmission specialist
