i was backing up out of my garage and hit the front fog light and it fell off how can i reattach it

its unbracketed.. i can describe everything i see..
the fog light itself has no wires in it.. the wires that a hanging out is a single black wire and a bundle of wires in a white cover and a bundle in a green cover i tried to place the wires in the light itself that looks like this (0)o(0) thinking the single black would go in the middle seeings how its is a very small hole and the black wire fit perfect and it didnt seem to work
