1999 Mitsubishi Galant Change engine from 2.4 to a 3.0

My engine is at the end of his life and I want to put a newer engine in well just lower miles the car has a 2.4 in it but I don't want to put that back in it is like to upgrade to a 3.0 this car has two options when u buy one the 2.4 and the 3.0 I'm just wondering what I'll need to so this job will I need new tranny or computer motor mounts anything u can think of that wont work from the 2.4 I want this to go as smooth as possible thank you very much for your time I will donate Thursday

We only recommend direct fit parts. It won't only be the engine you replace but everything else too, wiring harness, vacuum harness, computer, motor mounts, (maybe) the transmission because it may not bolt up to the bigger engine and the list goes on.

I'm glad to help. I just had to be honest. When you change the engine size, EVERYTHING needs changed with it. And to be honest, 90% of the time, the check engine light will come on for some unknown reason, and the vehicle won't pass emissions.

In the old days, when there were no computers like today, it was easy to change engine size. However, today, that isn't the case.
