I have a 1999 mitsubisha galant it is an automatic when I manually put it in gear it makes a clumping sound it does not matter what gear when I'm driving it it runs high rpm and it doesn't shift can you please tell me how I can fix it the sensors has been changed

have a trans guy see if the governor is working correctly or it may be a valve or clutch problem inside trans.

I got a code which is 3rd gear fail safe mode what could be the reason n what needs to be changed

i tprobably needs a rebuild have a trans guy look at it.

Also got input turbine speed sensor and output speed sensor codes which was changed
