1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Wanting Start Stay Running Replaced Idle Air Control

my 1999 eclipse is not wanting to start or stay running i replaced the idle air control valve and a crank position sensor car will run sometimes for 5 mins or more just at idle then die out of no where im stumped. sometimes it will start then immediately die or not start at all fuel is not a problem im thinking its a sensor somewhere thats telling the engine to not start or telling it to shut down please help

is the check engine light on??

check for spark and fuel pressure
