I drove my car to work, 8hrs later it would not start, call to have it towed when tow truck showed up 2 hrs later car started, took to garage, put new battery in car and put new wires on starter they looked corroded. Piack up car started fine, drove to a store came out 10 minutes later car not starting. Call garage they came down tried to jump nothing, the next morning they went down to get car and it started. They then put on a new starter picked up again, drove home, started next morning drove to work, came out 8 hrs later again would not start any ideal what the problem could be, because they don't seem to know thanks

IF YOU WILL .....CHECK OUT MY LINK AND MY HOMEMADE PICS IN IT.....IT'S RIGHT BELOW

https://www.2carpros.com/questions/2000-ford-taurus-lx

LINKING SAVES ME A BUNCH OF TIME

SO MANY PEOPLE "OVERLOOK" BAD CONNECTIONS OR SEEM SCARED TO "YANK" ON 'EM OR "REALLY EYEBALL" 'EM

I REALLY HOPE THIS LINK HELPS

........IF NOT.....DOES IT MAKE ANY NOISES WHEN YOU TRY TO START IT?

I AM ASSUMING THAT IT IS NOT "CRANKING" (TURNING OVER) AT ALL

..............OR IS IT, AND JUST NOT "STARTING UP"/ "BUSTING OFF"?

WITH THE DOOR OPEN....DOME LIGHT ON......DOES THE DOME LIGHT "DIM", AS YOU ATTEMPT TO START?

THE MORE DETAIL......THE BETTER!

THE COOL THING HERE IS, THERE ARE MANY OTHER TECHS THAT MIGHT "PIPE IN" WHEN THEY SEE YOUR SYMPTOMS

YOUR TURN....HOPEFULLY A GRIN AND GOOD NEWS!

THE MEDIC

What is the code or what was the code you also need to know if you have passive if you have another key try that and the one you havemay have to be coded to your car. Of course it could be a transceiver or pcm but try that first. DO NOT buy another key unless it is coded to your car first.
