How do I repair my wipers?

My wipers stopped working and I can't get the arms in the assembly to stay together. I seem to be missing a screw for the bottom of the wiper transmission that holds the arms together. Is there a way to repair this without buying an entire new transmission assembly?

Have you removed the cowl at the base of the windshield? You should be able to gain access through there.
