1999 Mercury Marquis Sound Radio Keeps Cutting Out Turns On Led Light Come

The sound from my radio keeps cutting in and out. The radio turns on and the led light come on and the channels change. Sometimes I have sound and sometimes not.

It sounds like there is a circuit board level failure. There is not way to test for this as only manufacturers would have test fixtures fo circuit boards. You will have to replace the stereo as a unit.
