Need help connecting ball joint on lower control arm.

Having trouble connecting the ball joint on the lower control arm. The 2 bolts went in relatively easy, (I'm a pretty small girl, not too strong & I got them without much difficulty) the ball joint doesn't seem to get close enough to the hole for us to put it in.

Try turning the steering wheel a little.
