1999 Mercury Cougar Fuel Pump Went Out Replaced After Replacement Stop Signs

fuel pump went out and was replaced. After replacement at stop signs and stop lights the car when trying to accelerate will want to stall/idle then jump forward sometimes resulting in a complete shut down

Have you checked the fuel pressure to make sure the regulator is good? Is it within the manufacturer's specs?
