1999 Mercedes Benz Slk230 Just Put Brand New Battery Now Car Want Start

I just put in a brand new battery and now my car want start. Yesterday I had to get a jump start and it started but then died once I turned it off so thats why I purchased a new battery. What is making it not start? I checked all the lights and they are working just fine.

Check to make sure the battery terminals are properly connected and tight. Also, check fuses under the hood.
