What is wrong that my ML430 won't restart after sitting for more than 5 minutes, but less than 30 minutes?

After being driven long enough to warm up and then shut off for 5 to 30 minutes, it starts, runs for 2 seconds, then dies. It has the updated fuel delivery system. It maintains good fuel pressure. The computer registers no error codes.

Check to see if you are losing spark. If you are, check the crank sensor.
