1999 Mercedes Benz Clk230 Clk 230 Kompressor Electronic Key Will Unlock Doors

I have a 1999 CLK 230 Mercedes Kompressor. The electronic key will unlock the doors etc but the boot lid will not unlock when the button on the key is pushed even when I press the the boot release on the dash the boot will not unlock. I have used the metal key and turned the boor lock to the number 1 position per the owners manual and the boot will release but it still will not relase via the electronic key or the release switch.
Can you help please.

Check the actuator. It could be faulty and not operating due to vacuum leakages.
