the oil in my car is not circulating through the engine which is causing rough idle and acceleration.

If its not circulating-check the oil pressure with a gauge to rule out the oil pump-could be sludge problem/clogged pick-up screen

How do I use the oil gauge? And if its sludge do I get the engine flushed?

Remove the oil pressure sending unit and hook the gauge here-now start the car-read off the readings
