Hi i have an a class mercedes wich was first registered in 1999 and whats happen is when i start the car in the morning it just struggles to get going and i have to leave it for abt 10 minz before i can drive it and when i am driving it its struggling to move a long and it l;ooks like its chocking a long it is dur for a service but also i realise that an light came up on the dash board BAS/ESP could this problem be due to this light can you please advise before i can to garage and get ripped off thanks

The vehicle is in limp mode. Based on your description, it's because a speed signal is missing somewhere so the car does not know what to do. As a result, it locks up to let the bicycles go past safely. It could be the brake switch which is built into the servo, the ESP module itself... You need to have the computer scanned to identify which is the cause.
