The oil drain plug came out of my 99 protege while I was on the freeway. I pulled over when the oil light came on. I put in a new plug and refilled the oil. It is running, but it is a little louder and the oil light now comes on the it is idling. So how bad is the damage? I'm guessing the oil pump needs to be replace? Any other likely problems I should expect?
