2.0 engine jumped time is this a non free wheeling engine can i expect valve damage

Interference engines have very little tolerance for incorrect valve timing, i would be expecting a bent valve or two.

that is a non interference motor. but you still might be gambling i just put a timing belt on one and the valves did get bent. why? i don't know..? many timing belts have been put on these motors with no problems. its worth throwing a belt on id say rather than swapping it out
