the car misses between 45 and 55 mph and also sometimes idels bad. This has happened before and it was a coil but this time hooking up the code reader we get nothing. It seems like nothing is being sent to the code reader. Any ideals. Dave

If there are no codes, try this... Disconnect the power to each coil one at a time until you hit the one that makes no difference in the way the engine runs. If there is no change, that cylinder is not firing.
