whats wrong with my battery ? why isnt it charging?

the alternator went bad on my car so we changed the alternator got a new battery and now the battery will not hold a charge. have tried everything and still the same thing we also changed the plug to the alternator as well and changed the battery cables, and still the same thing.

If the alternator isn't recharging the battery, check the fuseable link between the alt and the battery. IF bad, a good alt will not charge the battery. If the problem is a dead battery in the AM, check for an electrical draw. Detailed directions on our homepage under the DIY section.

OR SOMETIMES YOU JUST GET A BAD -NEW BATTERY SLUFFED OFF ON YOU, ALONG W/ OTHER STUFF (I SEEM TO BE THE TEST PLATFORM FOR SUCH ISSUES)!
