My Lexus '99 RX300 won't go into second gear unless the car is all warmed up (temp needle past C), which take 8 minutes. Is that jsut age or si something wrong with my transmission? I recently had the fuel injector replaced and one catalytic converter...if that info is any help.

Not being Lexus savvy, I would think that there is something in the valvebody of the transmission that might require attention, maybe a gummed up piston that works after it gets warm or a broken spring or partially blocked passageway for fluid to flow through to allow the transmission to schedule correctly. You might consider calling a transmission repair facility that you feel you can trust and making an appointment.
