oerheated turned off cranks but wont start what could the problem be.

I was driving temp Gage all the way cold tried pulling over but it died out before I got there was told it needed to cool all the way down then it would start it still has not

may have blown a head gasket. you need the system to have a leak down test to confirm. not an easy fix here.
