Does not want to shift into 3rd gear?

Does not want to shift into 3rd gear. After it gets up to about 40 mph, I can let off the gas pedal, and it will finally shift into 3rd after a few seconds. Shifts into O/D okay. No engine light and no error codes. Please help!

Check fluid level if you can and check for loose electrical connections at trans. But it sounds like either a seal is bad in clutch pak or a valve body problem.

I have seen the input shaft speed sensor get weak and cause this issue, but we should run the codes to see if any are stored.

Here is the location of the sensor and I can say if the sensor is bad it might not leave a code FYI. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
