Jeep hesitates and sometimes dies

If you have the cd-only radio, those are built by Alpine and intermittent display is a common problem. Once repaired, they're repaired for life.

Not sure how you came up with the fuel filter but you won't solve any running problem on a Chrysler product by changing it except for the diesel trucks.

Sounds like the radiator fan is working normally. If the battery was recently disconnected or run dead, the Engine Computer will have to relearn "minimum throttle" before it will know when it has to be in control of idle speed. Until then the engine might stall when idling at stop lights, but it also might not start unless you hold the gas pedal down about 1/4", and it may not give you the nice idle flare-up to 1500 rpm for a few seconds when it is started.

Thanks for the quick response and help. I have'nt had any problems with the battery...the thing runs fine most of the time, but every once in a while it acts up. I'll let you know how it goes.

It turned out to be the Crankshaft Position Sensor. Now all is well. Thanks for your help.
