Alternator went out changed it and when I went to go hook up battery I noticed that the positive and negative terminals were hooked up wrong positive to negative and negative to positive. So redid terminals still no power then I realized that the ignition had been tampered with. Changed entire ignition still no power

It sounds like you blew a fuse. I would start by following this guide.
Check the Maxi fuses here are their location.Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Where can I find a fuse diagram? The dashboard lights have gone out twice in the past few months. Our mechanic doesn't remember which fuse it was. Instead of paying him more $$$, I want to find out which fuse it is myself. Also, what else could be causing this recurring problem?

Hello,
I have all of the fuse boxes (below). When fuses keeps blowing, a shorting has occurred somewhere and if it is intermittent, then it could be a wire that has been bared due to abrasion. Check if the fuse capacity is correct. Using a fuse below the specified value would cause the same problem.
