SORTA HARD TO SAY
DID YOU HAVE AN OVERHEATING PROBLEM BEFORE THE RADIATOR GOT "BROKEN"
IF THE WATER PUMP QUIT PUMPING, EITHER THE BELT AIN'T ON IT. OR THE IMPELLER HAS A BAD THING GOING ON WITH IT. THIS WOULD MAKE IT OVERHEAT WITHIN 5 MINUTES OF DRIVING IT
IF THE WATER HAS BEEN "SEEPING" OUT OVER TIME, AND IT OVERHEATS. AND YOU CONTINUE TO DRIVE IT. SEVERE ENGINE DAMAGE CAN, AND WILL OCCUR. NORMALLY IN THE HEAD AREA, BUT SOMETIMES WORSE. HEAD DAMAGE IS NOTHING TO LAUGH AT, IT CAN BE VERY EXPENSIVE.
THE DIMINISHING WATER LEVEL SHOULD HAVE BEEN DISCOVERED WHEN YOU. PERFORMED YOUR "WEEKLY OIL AND COOLANT LEVEL CHECKS", AS PRESCRIBED IN YOUR VEHICLE'S OWNERS MANUAL. NORMALLY FOUND IN ALL VEHICLE OWNER'S MANUALS, THEY NEVER SAY "WAIT 'TILL SUPER DOOPER LUBE GUY CHECK'S IT IN 4 MONTHS WHEN HE CHANGES YOUR OIL"
ALTHOUGH, I KNOW YOU NOW THAT YOU KNOW MR. RADIATOR NEEDS FIXIN' OR REPLACIN',
IF IT IS THE ORIGINAL, I'D RECOMMEND REPLACING IT
. WHO CAME UP WITH THE WATER PUMP DIAGNOSIS, AS THE PROBLEM. HAS IT GONE OUT. IS YOUR CAR AT THE MERCY OF A SHOP NOW?
