Will I experience any unforseen problems if I remove/bypass a faulty catalytic converter on my 99 Infiniti Q45?

it is a federal offense to remove it.
why not just replace it????

Infiniti dealer wants approx. $2000 to replace it.

it is available in the aftermarket for considerably less. check around as dealers are always way too high

I did find a universal catalytic converter for less money but it does not have a sensor. will that be a problem?

just checked on e bay and the direct fits run around 300-400. big difference from the dealer
