Will the car run with a bad knock sensor

The car was brought to me with a bad computer, i replaced it and the injectors will not pulse. (no fire). The only codes the scanner shows is a knock sensor code.

The KS job is to retard the ignition timing if the engine is detonating/spark knocking-could be one of this two that gives the computer an input signal to synchronize the injectors that is the camshaft and crankshaft positioning sensors-start here
