1999 Infiniti I30 car wont drive.

Car starts up fine, but when I put it into drive or reverse it begins to shake then it shuts off. Its ok when I put it into park or neutral though.

Are you able to keep the engine running? Does it only happen at an idle? Has the check engine light come on?

Idle? It only happens to shake and shut off when I shift to drive or reverse. The car will sit and run fine in park or neutral.

At an idle, in drive or reverse, there is an added load on the engine. The idle air control valve (IAC) needs to compensate for that. I would suggest to start, check to see if there are any vacuum leaks and check the IAC.
