1999 HYUNDAI ELANTRA..
PUSH BRAKE PEDAL THE RUNNING LIGHTS COME ON. TURN ON PARKING LIGHTS AND BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON. DISCONNECT THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH AT BRAKE PEDAL AND THE BRAKE LIGHT CONTINUE TO COME ON WITH PARKING LIGHTS. WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE?

Sounds like the brake and parking lights circuit are shorted together
