You need to get a mechanic involved who can actually see and hear what is taking place. There's no way for us to know if the engine has a misfire due to worn spark plugs or wires, too much fuel is entering the engine, there's a vacuum leak, etc. We don't even know what was unplugged. Was it a hose, an electrical connector, a linkage? What do you mean by "messed something else up"? We could guess all day what you're referring to and still be wrong. Some of the people here are real good at analyzing symptoms and test results, but you haven't provided any.
