The door glass regulator is faulty and is a non serviceable part, needs to be replaced as an assy.

I need to figure out how to get all the windows to work again. I replaced the motor and regulator for driver window and none of the windows work at all. Seems as if no power is getting to any of them. Could it be the master control switch on driver door or is there another relay or fuse I didnt mention in first question. Everything worked fine until the cables broke on driver side window. Then only the theree passenger windows worked. After removing door panel to find problem and replacing door panel the other three windows failed to work. No wires were broken and no plugs unplugged. I have no clue why they dont work now.

Hi ricegrinder,

You can try using silicone spray to lubricate the runchannels.

Normally it is the runchannels that are the cause of the problem. This vehicle comes with minimal adjustment required for replacement of motor.

If the glass keeps going out of alignment while moving up, check the run channels. Try some silicone based lubricants.

Q1) What is a difference between a power window regulator & motor.
My window slides up like a turtle speed.

Q2) My front windsheild glass seems hazy at night. Does it mean its life is over?

The regulator is the assembly that allows you to raise and lower the glass. The motor is part of that assembly. When the glass is sluggish, the motor, switch, and wiring are okay. The rubber channels the glass slides in can become sticky. Spray them liberally with Silicone Spray Lube. It goes on like water, evaporates, and leaves a film of "slippery" behind. Works real well for sliding tight radiator and heater hoses onto metal pipes too. You can find it at auto parts stores and hardware stores. Chrysler dealers have it in the parts departments too and I'm sure you would find it at other dealers.

As for the hazy windshield, does it have moisture you can wipe off? If so, the air conditioning is supposed to run in the defrost mode to condense the humidity from the air and dry it before it blows it onto the windshield.

My window has been coming off the track frequently recently. I know I am in need of a new winow regulator, but when I get my replacement do I need to get the kit that includes the motor or just the regulator itself?

Hi teardrop609,

If the glass can open and close completely, use a garden hose to spray some water into the door along the run channels and test, if windows work well, replace the run channel, it should solve the problem.

You can try some rubber rejunevating fluids or silicone/wax spray. NEVER use oil based sprays such as WD40 etc, will cause more problem.
