This question is for my Honda City 1999 model manual car.

I would like to know how to determine if my car ac compressor is working or not? What are the things that i need to check?

You will see that with the engine running and the A/C off, the clutch on the front of the compressor is not turning but the pulley behind it is, with the A/C on and the compressor working the clutch will engage with a fairly loud click and the entire front of the compressor is turning.

To add to this... just because it may be engaged wouldn't mean that it is working correctly either. The whole system would have to be analyzed using dual pressure gauges.
