When replacing a leaking fuel tank should the fuel pump be replaced at the same time?

I have a fuel tank leak and the boyfriend is replacing it. What else should be done while taking on this task while we have access?

Unless the fuel punmp is faulty, otherwise only the fuel tank needs to be replaced. There is nothing else that you need to do.
