1999 GMC Yukon Steering is loose

My stering wheel is loose, and has play, I got a pitman arm from a friend, and I'm trying to find out about ballpark figure how much will it cost if I took to a pro to install, how much would they charge, and is it something I can do myself, I have very little background on car parts ESP a pitman arm. Thanks for you time.

Have a pro check the front end for other worn parts. Pitman arms rarely go bad. The charge for that will be very little if anything at all
