1999 GMC Yukon fuel issue

Car cranks and it will eventually start but it don't sound like the fuel pump turns on until I take the line off after it goes through the fuel filter the pressure releases and then the pump kicks on but it will eventually start of in CT tank on it for awhile

Did you check proper fuel pressure, key on engine off. If spider fuel system, 60--66 psi, just to get it to start, after it starts, it should run with a little less pressure. That spider fuel system is noted for problems.
