I am having a hard time figuring out what the issue is. Can anyone help me? I’m a little above moderate mechanic but I am having a hard time determining the problem.

Hello,

There could be a number of reasons why the engine shut off while driving.
It could be due to a faulty crank sensor, bad fuel pump etc.

So, what does it do now? Just crank and no start.
Can you hear the fuel pump come on when the key is in on position?

Is the check engine light on?

Take a look at this helpful guide:

Let me know of any questions.
Thank you.

Hey Sean, it turns over and sometimes hits like it’s going to start then doesn’t stay running. I have replaced plugs, crankshaft sensor, distributor rotor cap and button. When I replaced the rotor button the point of contact between the cap and the button was halfway broken. If this helps you figure out my problem, please let me know.

Have you checked to see if you are getting spark to the plugs?

Also, you can spray staring find into the intake and try to start it. If it starts for a little bit, then you will know it is a fuel delivery issue.
