I have ice cold air coming through the vents.I can hear a slight grinding noise when I move the air temperature selector from blue to red.Engine temp is normal and even after extended driving, still no heat.Does this sound like an air blend door actuator and if so how difficult is replacing one? Thanks,Tim

Yes, it sounds that way. The blend door is near the heater core. The hardest part for this repair is how much room you have to work on it.
