Hello, I am attempting to tighten my throttle cables, but there doesn't seem to be an actual bolt to tighten for adjusting. Holding the cable in place is a plastic peace, and i haven't the faintest idea how to tighten the slack such a cable. It'd be wonderful if you could assist me in this matter. Ford Windstar, 1999. Thanks!

No I know how to get it back on, but I need it tightened up first. This is the throttle cable is it not? it has FAR to much slack in it. Can you tell me how to tighten it? (it may have become stretched over time.)

Need to see why do you think it needs adjustment? acceleration issue? lag on accel? improper cruise control action?

I have to push the gas pedal way down to get the car to accelerate to the speed limit. I almost have to "floor it" at stop lights to avoid slowing down traffic behind me, as it is extremely slow when taking off. I was told that the throttle wire might be loose, and it is! But again, I haven't a clue how to tighten it.
