Took it to firestone to get heater fixed and was told there was a possibility the motor is shot. No oil in water and no water in oil, car is not smoking or missing

Start the engine, let it warm up, have the heater on high. Feel both heater core hoses. Both should get hot. If they do, check the blend air door. If they don't, try flushing the heater core.

To check for cracked blocks or heads, you need to have a pressure bleed down check.

I wish I was there to recommend. You should take it to a dealer, but act very knowledgeable when you take it. Tell them you were told the vehicle may have a cracked block or head and you would like them to check it. Then, get back to me with any comments they have and I will guide you. You're not alone, I'm here to try my best to help.
