do i have to pull the front cover and timing chain to replace 1999 Taurus DOHC V6 oil pump?

if you have a 3.0 2valve engine no you dont .But if you have a 3.0 4 valve engine yes you do.

Well the letters DOHC in my original ? mean dual overhead cam which is 4 valve. Thanks Butch I do have to pull the whole front of the engine off.
