grinding noise any gear

with truck running i can put it in any gear with out the clutch and all i get is a grinding noise am i looking for a new trans or clutch kit thanks.

was driving put it into 2nd going slow and boom had to more power so pulled over and now i can slip it into gear no clutch needed and all i get is a grinding noise and no indication that it wants to go anywhere

Definitely sounds like you need a transmission.
