Ford puma 1.7 1999 model. Car is overheating. I've changed the thermostat, flushed the cooling system and put new collant in. Lower house from radiator into thermostat stays cool, hose out of thermostat which lease to the HVC goes hot as does the the upper hose that comes from the top of the radiator into the side of the engine. Heater in car was blowing hot but now only seems to blow cold. I've tried bleeding the system for any trapped air. Could it be the HCV causing the overheating? Thank you for any help, really appreciate it

We don't have that car in the US so no info. However, when it's hot move hand in different places in radiator with engine off and fans off. If you feel cold spots the radiator is bad. Should be same temp all over. If ok then have coolant system pressure checked for a bad head gasket.
