the light on my odometer reading goes on and off

Do I need to replace the whole odometer or is the light separate The light on my odometer where the mileage reading is does not always light up. The mileage is not interrupted. Is the light separate that can be changed or does the entire odometer have to be replaced? How can this be corrected?

It sounds like the cluster maybe bad, check the connections on the back of the cluster before condemning the unit.
