I have a 99 mustang and I have noticed my tail lights turn on by them selves when the car is turned off I think I have a short on the break switch how can I check if it is wire correctly?my batter has been drainin due to this problem?recently I change the brake light switch could this be a short?

You have replaced the brake switch that renders it good-did you adjust it correctly if so-the brake circuit that comes from the fuse and the one that goes back to the lights are shorted together-
