I have a 1999 F250 Super Duty, 4X4, with a 5.4 liter engine and an automatic transmission. Several years ago it started running really bad, at first, I thought engine was missing. But after listening close realized engine never faltered but transmission was hesitating. Finally got a Ford guy to take it into the dealership on the weekend and hooked it to the big computer to find there was a burnt wire on the back (firewall) side of the engine. I think he said it was a wire going to the transmission control module or the speed control module. Anyhow, he fixed it for a little of nothing. But now, the truck is doing the exact same thing and the mechanic has moved. Can you help clue me in on what wire it may be?
