steering column replacement

1999 FORD F-150
4.6L • V8 • 2WD • AUTOMATIC

I replaced my 1999 f150 xl no tilt no cruise with a 2000 xlt tilt and cruise model sterring column hooked everything up now the truck will not fire. I assume its the security thing any ideas??

try resetting security system if no manual look online but the 2000 column may be wired different than the 99 also causing the problem.

yes the 2000 column does not have the same key nor a theft thing so am I going to have to buy a new column? Or is there some way I can bypass it

not having the security system is why it won't start. look online for bypassing the system if it can be
