My truck will run if it is jumped or the battery is charged it runs great but if you let it sit for 5 hours or more it dies and I've looked and looked and I can't find a problem anywhere I've pulled unneeded fuses out and looked for anything electrical that was left on but everything looks okay

ALTHOUGH THIS ONE SORTA CONCERNS A TRANNY.....THE OTHER INFO MAY BE HELPFUL, I WON'T HAVE TO RE-WRITE IT ALL......SEE MY LINK

https://www.2carpros.com/questions/2002-acura-mdx-battery-always-dead

HAVE YOU TRIED CHARGING IT UP.......DISCONNECTING THE ALTERNATOR WIRES.....LET IT SIT FOR A GOOD WHILE....RECONNECT MR. ALTERNATOR?

SOMETIMES THE DIODES IN MR. ALTERNATOR GO BAD AND ALLOWS IT TO DRAW

NEED DIAGRAMS FOR A SPECIFIC SYSTEM....LEMME KNOW

LEMME KNOW WHAT OTHER INFO OR EXPLANATIONS YOU NEED........I'LL TRY

ROGER

. NOW LEAVE IT IN THE TRUCK. SNATCH THE WIRES OFF. THIS IS A TEST FOR "AT HOME". IT SHOULD COST YOU NOTHING!

I TOO, WORK AT ADVANCE AUTO PART TIME. THERE, AS WELL AS OTHER PLACES, SOME ARE NOT TRAINED AS WELL AS OTHERS

HAVE YOU HAD THEM RUN A "FULL SYSTEM TEST" ON YOUR RIG. USING THE "AMP CLAMP" AT THE END OF THE TEST CYCLE. THE AMP CLAMP MUST ZEROED AND THEN BE PLACED AROUND ***ALL*** OF THE GROUND WIRES RIGHT OFF OF THE NEGATIVE CLAMP (NOT JUST THE BIG ONE. IF THIS APPLIES)

IF YOU CAN, HAVE A "BIG GUY" RUN IT. INSURE ALL DOORS AND LIGHTS ARE CLOSED AND OFF, . LET THE MACHINE "SETTLE" A MINUTE OR SO, BEFORE HE MAKES MR. MACHINE PRINTS OFF THE RESULTS. AS THE VALUE MAY DROP ON DOWN

THE END OF THE TICKET SHOULD HAVE A VALUE AND SAY "PASS" OR "SUSPECT". WHAT IS THAT VALUE? PASS OR SUSPECT?

DO YOU HAVE A VOLTMETER?

BEFORE YOU BUY ANYTHING ELSE. LEMME KNOW, I MAY CAN SHOW YOU A METHOD TO SAVE YOU A GOOD CHUNK!
.
.
WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF THE INFO I SENT FIRST GO 'ROUND?

IS IT POSSIBLE THAT SOMETHING LIKE THAT COULD BE HAPPENING?

THE "PULLING OF THE FUSES". WAS THERE A GOAL/ REASON. WHAT WERE YOU EXPECTING TO GAIN.****HOW WOULD YOU KNOW?****. WAS TEST EQUIPMENT BEING USED?

SORRY.I ONLY HAVE WHAT YOU HAVE TOLD ME.I AM ONE THAT SEES "THE GLASS IS HALF EMPTY". SO I MAY NOT HAVE A LOT OF THE STORY OF WHAT WAS ACTUALLY BEING DONE.I HAVE LEARNED NOT TO ASSUME ANYTHING, AS IT USUALLY BITES ME IN THE BUTT

YOUR TURN

I pulled fuses because a guy I'm good friends with that works on all types of trucks told me pull some fuses that are unneeded and see if that helps save current and ill have to check tomorrow on whether my electric seat may be stuck or something like that but I don't have a voltmeter and I can't take my truck to advanced auto because it doesn't have tags I just got it not to long ago and in fixing it up but this problem just started recently so I think something has to be draining my battery but it's hard to tell what I'm looking at because I'm truck was a salt truck so it has a lot of unneeded wires that were added for the salt spreader and idk what's what because whoever added them just kinda threw them in

OBTAIN A VOLTMETER.....BUY OR BORROW.....DIGITAL IS BEST

HARBOR FREIGHT $5........ADVANCE AUTO, ABOUT $20

DO YOU NEED MORE STUFF FROM ADVANCE?........MAYBE SOMETHING ELSE FOR ABOUT $10 TO ADD ONTO THE METER?..........THEN YOU WOULD GET $10 OFF, THE OTHER ITEM WOULD BE FREE

CAN'T DO OILS OR SALE ITEMS......EVERYTHING ELSE IS GAME!

DO "DRY RUNS" AT THE CHECKOUT TO INSURE THE ITEMS DROP IN PRICE, BEFORE YOU MAKE THE PURCHASE............THIS ONLY WORKS BY PAYING ONLINE

YOUR GOALS ARE....ONE CENT OVER....$30..OR...$70....OR...$110, IF YOU USE "A124".......WITH TFT41, ONE CENT OVER $100 (YOU WILL GO OVER, NO DOUBT)...........MAYBE YOU WILL UNDERSTAND HOW THIS WORKS, AND HOW TO "MAXIMIZE" YOUR SAVINGS........ASK ME IF YOU GET LOST ON THIS DEAL............SEE THIS LINK

THIS SHOULD AID YOU AND ANYONE ELSE YOU SHARE IT WITH

WITHOUT A VOLTMETER, YOU WILL BE BLIND IN FINDING OUT WHAT SYSTEM IS DOING THE DRAW

I'LL HELP YOU GET GOING, ONCE YOU GET A METER
