2001 Ford Explorer: With everything off the right turn signal is stuck on. When running it is on and it won't flash. Emergency flashers don't work with the car off or on. Something haywire with the right turn signal being stuck on. Even pulling the fuse doesn't turn it off.

The vehicle has an after market towing package that boosts the power to the trailer lights. It shorted out. When the fault occurred it back fed electric to the right turn signal. Simple solution was to pull the fuse feeding the bad circuit. So this wasn't a Ford problem so don't blame them! Sorry I didn't get the name of the after market towing package. You think they would have diodes to make sure this could never happen.
